Hey guys,

I'm new to this forum (but been reading the threads over the last few months) and have finally decided to create an account because I'm getting into music production.

I'll loosely use the term EDM, when I say that's the type of music I want to focus on producing.

At current, I have an M-Audio Oxygen49 keyboard, 2010 MacBook Pro and I plan on using Logic Pro 9.

I'm up for any advice or suggestions, whether it comes down to software, what I need to learn to do, etc etc. I have never played an instrument before either, but have been working fairly hard with YouTube tutorials to learn.

All help would be greatly appreciated!

On hardware you shouldn't get problems. You should get yourself some monitor speakers.

Just be creative and do your thing!

At the moment I do have, but they're fairly shit - but it'll do the job for now.
Are their any plug-ins, instrumental/sample packs anyone can recommend?
Or pages with tutorials?

http://howtomakeelectronicmusic.com/ - a bit trancy website but helps...

In terms of plugins I would go for the "regular" ones. Nexus, Sylenth, Massive, GlitchVST (...)

Sample packs - Vengeance
